PID or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease is an infection occurs in
fallopian tube. Fallopian Tube carries the ova or egg from the ovaries
to the uterus. It is commonly an infection of Fallopian Tube, womb
(uterus) and ovaries. The vagina and the cervix render the pathway to
the bacteria and other microorganisms to the internal reproductive
organs. An inflammation is cause in these organs and their
surroundings just because of bacterial infection. It especially occurs
in the Fallopian tubes.
It may be the result of a pregnancy termination or childbirth. In
addition, it may be the result of the unprotected sex with a new
partner. However, still no genuine reasons are found for this
infection. In some countries, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are taken as the
causes of pelvic inflammatory disease.
Symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease: Pelvic inflammatory
disease has no specific pre-symptoms but there are basic things that
one should notice. Some basic symptoms are there which occur at the
initial stage of this disease. They are-
. Extreme pain in pelvis
. Puke (vomit) and Nausea
. High Temperature (fever)
. Day sickness
. Dyspareunia (painful sexual intercourse)
. Unusual vaginal discharge with foul smell
. Increased menstruation
. Increased menstruation pain
. Vaginal odor
. Weakness
People facing the problem pelvic inflammatory can have extreme pain
in pelvis due to infection, sometimes it is avoided by the people
thinking of some other reasons. But one should consult doctor at once
if have pain in such parts. It is among common symptoms of pelvic
inflammatory disease. Most of the people suffer from fever in case of
having this disease. They usually go for normal treatments instead
getting it diagnosed; it also causes weakness in some cases.
This disease develops when some microorganisms like bacteria
affects the female reproductive system by infecting it. There is a
reproductive organ, which behaves, as an obstacle to stop the entry of
microorganisms into the internal reproductive organ. That barrier of
the reproductive organ barrier of the reproductive system is known as
Cervix. The cervix is the narrow opening or the outer end of the
uterus. During this whole process of preventing the internal
reproductive organs, the cervix is contaminated with
infection. Although the chance for microorganisms is higher, only when
the Cervix left opened during fertilization or during
menstruation.
The risk factors for pelvic inflammatory disease: This disease is
very common in women indulging in unprotected sexual habits with more
than one sex partners. Miscarriage, abortion, childbirth and douching
are also found as the reason for the disease. Several surgeries and
insertion of intrauterine device can be also one of the reasons. It
may be because of genetic factor in some women and symptoms of pelvic
inflammatory disease are recognizable in these people.
Symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease cannot be diagnosed or
recognized easily, but one should always take care of any infection
occurring in those parts. It one notice to have any of the symptoms
